The Artist Collective: Tap Company
This program is designed for intermediate/advanced level dancers who are looking to expand their tap training and performing. This program models a professional company setting that exposes dancers to what dance in the professional industry looks like. Dancers will dive into choreography set by tap professionals in the Minneapolis community, as well as collaborate and begin to explore creating their own choreography. Dancers will get an opportunity to perform live and create dance film projects. An event will be held at the end of the program to showcase the work and success of company members.

Who is this program for?
This program is for any & all intermediate/advanced tap dancers who want to dive into their tap training! This is a pre-professional program and is open to non-competitive dancers, competitive dancers at other studios, and competitive dancers at MAE. The Tap Company is designed as a supplemental training program that does not conflict with other competitive studios.
How can MAE competition dancers compete in tap?
If you are a competitive dancer at MAE you have the opportunity to apply for The Artist Collective: Tap Company. In addition, there is an add-on dance that will compete with Mae Dance Co. This will rehearse following company rehearsals from 12:00-12:45 and will continue rehearsing until the end of the competitive season. Dancers in the competitive track will also have access to a tap technique class during the week. In addition, there will be a one-time comp & costume fee of $455.
